is fast approaching and if your planning to decorate but have been
putting it off I have a few suggestions. When the kids were younger, many
moons ago, I stuck to the simple pumpkin with the tea light in it. As
the years have passed and they have grown so has our decor. It changes
slightly from year to year but there are always pumpkins, spiders,
skulls and mice.
Mr.Scarecrow came by one year and decided that he liked it here so he pops up every year now.
We use to use a real pumpkin for the head but this molded one that has its own light is sturdier and much easier to set up.
The characters below came from costumes my kids had worn in previous years. The wedding dress from Value Village has come in handy many times.
The bird house is used indoors during the rest of the year but at Halloween
it takes center stage beside the front door filled with leaves, crows and skulls.
The kids try to dress up our dog every year too. Doesn’t last long…only long enough for a photo. So If you’re struggling with your decor this Halloween, try keeping it simple. Use what you have and in the end isn’t it all about the CANDY!!
Need some other inspiration check out Desire to Decorate for some great Halloween photos.
