SAUDADE – Celebrating Portuguese Design & Tradition

saudade storeSaudade – a sentimental yearning for a former person, place or thing.

Located in Toronto’s Little Portugal, Saudade is a lifestyle boutique celebrating Portuguese design and artisan traditions. The store displays the collection of designers and brands from Portugal who are integrating the old with the new.

Opened in 2015 to great success, Saudade is a project of passion for owners Nancy Fernandes, Connie Freitas and most recently Fatima Santos.  Fernandes, a teacher at Central Tech Toronto, has always had a passion for design. Today she travels to Portugal 3 times a year to meet with local designers and merchants bringing back one-of-a-kind products, both traditional and innovative, from mainland Portugal.
